TX Operating System Update

My Palm Desktop has updated to V6.2.2. My TX is V5.4.9.
Shouldn't the TX update to V6.2.2 when I sync the devices or is there something I need to do to upgrade the TX. Thanks.

It doesn't work quite like that - the software on the PC and the firmware on the TX are two separate things, developed and updated separately.

Bryanb- do you know if the 5.4.9 firmware is the most current for the TX? Also, during desktop updates, does the update process look for firmware updates or do I need to go to Palm Support periodically and look for an update?---Thanks for your assistance.

I don't believe Palm (or Access) has offered an OS update for any of their handhelds in years.

I have been using my TX for several years but four months ago, Outlook mail stopped syncing. I've gone through hard reset, removing and reloading software, etc., etc. About a month ago, I found a fix for this problem and it was making an adjustment through the Control Panel. It worked until I had to do another hard reset to fix my screen. I don't remember the specifics and should have saved it! Has anyone had the same problem and can give me the anwer?
