Two Towers on sale today

How many of you were aware that the DVD release of Lord of the rings was today. I thought that the release was the 26th. Has it been brought forward?
 
Well i bought it today like i said and watched it - first time I have seen it and I was bored to tears. I'm glad I didnt wait for the extended version - this was way long enough.

Now let me be clear, I do not doubt the quality fo the film making, or the excellent acting, its just that when reading a book you can put it down between chapters, but the film seems to go on and on and on.

Glad I go tthe dvd though because I'm interested in how it was made and all the extras. (It even has a "whats on the extended version" bit heheeh)
 
I thought the Two Towers was great, in certain aspects it was better than The Fellowship of the Ring. I agree though that it was a bit long winded, still though exceptional film making.


Maybe after the Return of the King I will buy the full DVD Box set that is inevitable, without a doubt in my opinion this will go down as the great trilogy in film making history.

I'm still trying to comprehend how they managed to make all 3 films for 150 million dollars. Good stuff!
 
Only 150 mil!? That is amazing, I would have thought that 1 of these films would have cost that much. I agree, this trilogy will go down as one of the greats, I was a doubter to begin with, not knowing what all the fuss was about, now can't wait for return of the king :)
 
I wasnt really interested in watchnig the first one but we bought it as it was in an offer and it took us weeks to get it watched but im sooooo glad now that we did get it as it was one of the bset films ive ever sen!!
we now have Two Tower sitting infront of hte tv but we want to watch the first one again then TT!!
 
yep got mine on sat love the film i will also be getting the extended version :D

i have both the Extended and normal version of FOTR and migh as well get both of these to

btw the box set when all 3 films are done will only be the extended versions but in one box with all 3 dvd boxes (if you get what i mean)

i love both of these films and cant wait for the 3rd i have my ticket booked already :D
 
you know that for a fact? I can pretty much bet that there will be some sort of huge super-duper-60,000-disc--18.2-dts-surround-sound-25-days-extra-footage-set that will be out!

Well...you know what i mean ;):D
 
Yesterday out in Liverpool & Southport, it was hard to find a shop that wasn't selling this DVD. They even had it in the Airport Gandalf "Fly, you fools!".There were posters and giant advertising billboarRAB everywhere. I got mine on tuesday ,I'd pre-ordered it from amazon.
 
Yeah I found it on sale early in Glasgow too. I've watche dall of Disc Two but am saving Disc Oner for tonight. "The Long And The Short Of It" was such a let down... what a slef indulgent pile of garbage. And The Making Of The Long and The Short Of It?

I mean, reallllllllllllllly like!

Extended TTT and RotK both look amazing though... I cannae wai'
