not affect them? 1 of my boys is three and he sometimes complains his legs hurt he gets headaches he is very active and quite hyper but gets very tired suddenly. he very often goes to sleep at nursery. my other boy is one and he seems OK. i keep getting confusing info my health professionals say it shouldn't affect him because he is only a carrier and its just because he is three .i have a 13 and 5 yr old who never complained about headaches and aching legs. Does anyone know if this is anything to do with the trait. every time i take him to the docs he just says he is fine. If it is then I can not worry so much because i dont think it is normal if he is healthy. And i'm sure my Doc thinks I'm a over protective panicky mum. I'm not i just want to know . One of the reasons i am a bit concerned about what they know and what they don't is in my area there are only a few mixed raced familys. i was practically accused of hitting my second child when he was a baby because he had the mongolian blue spot and the health visitor thought it was a bruise. so if anyone knows about sickle cell trait please answer.
