Twitching cheek

For the past two days I have had on and off twitching in my cheek area just underneath my right eye. It is beginning to get rather annoying. It's quite noticeable when I look in the mirror when it's happening.

Has anyone else experienced this problem. I sometimes get a twitchy eye if I'm tired but I've never had it in this place and over 2 days.

I have a doctors appointment on Tuesday to discuss another problem so I might mention the twitchy cheek if it hasn't stopped.

In a recent doctors visit, with similar symptoms (and many more) believe it or not I was told that stress or emotional disturbance can actually cause the twitching of any part of the face, particularly the eye. I was taken aback by it but don't be shocked if that comes up.

Misty05: twitching is a sign of magnesium deficiency. I've had the twitching under the eye and found out I was in need of magnesium by having a hair analysis done that confirmed it. Magnesium is depleted out of your body by caffeine. You'll know when your body has enough magnesium because you'll get loose stools. You can get magnesium from nuts, fish, dark chocolate and green vegetables. Try some supplements and see if it makes a difference.
