Twisted Ankle - Dance Recital Next Week?

I was on my friend's trampoline the other day, and I somehow managed to hurt my ankle. I can walk on it now, although I don't want to do anything I shouldn't be doing, because I have a dance recital next week! It feels a ton better, although it can easily snap and then it hurts for a while. My family actually just got a trampoline, and I REALLY want to use it, although should I wait until after the recital? If i were to jump on it, i would most likely be the only person on it. However, I don't want to hurt my ankle even more severely than i did last time!

So throughout that long paragraph, I'm basically asking one question -

Should I wait until after the recital to use the AH-mazing trampoline i have been asking for since.. forever?

OR

Should I go ahead and just be extremely careful?

I would wait until after the recital for your trampoline because you originally hurt your ankle on the trampoline, no matter how much you want to because you could hurt yourself a lot more and have to miss the recital and then it's kind of letting your classes down because there will be a hole where you were supposed to be and what not. Look at it this way. I had a fractured foot (in two places), severe tendinitis and a sprained ankle (same leg) and I danced in three dress rehearsals, two recitals and one competition this week. Because I was an idiot and didn't rest it when I needed to rest it, and I wasn't going to let my classes down. Personally, I would get a stretchy brace (they're usually tan) and wear that whenever you possibly can, and keep ice on it at least once a day to make sure you're ready. Your trampoline isn't going anywhere, but your recital is.

practice some moves. go a little higher very day and see if you can do between meduim and hard moves. if the moves are diffrent than everyone elses ask if you could go in the easy group!!!
