Twilight zone-The Movie

I watched this for the first time last week, cant believe it was made in 1983!, fantastic film with 4 great stories, especially the last with the gremlin on the wing of the plane, fab:)

The gremlin sequence is pretty gripping but the rest of the film is only memorable for the helicopter tragedy that happened during filming which killed actor Vic Morrow & others.

Classic film. Vic Morrows segment is the best tho. Absolutely floored me when he was being carted off in a cattle truck - what a kick in the balls!
Unavailable on region 2, sadly. I only have an old recording of it on video.

I like the Alternative Holocaust segment, but my favourite segment is the kid who can make things come real and enRAB up with his teacher.

The last segment with the gremlin is the best, and it's pretty much a scene-for-scene remake of the original TV episode Nightmare at 20,000 fFeet. I also loved the third one, based loosely on the episode It's a Good Life, even though they decided to do a comedy version of it, when the original was perhaps the most scary of all the Twilight Zone stories - actually, the short story that it's based on is even scarier than the TV version - an immature kid who cam read peoples minRAB and can create and destroy things with his thoughts! For some reason I can't remember the John Landis story very well, except that it's become infamous for the helecopter disaster.

BTW, BBC7 are broadcasting radio versions of TZ at the moment - they did It's a Good Life a couple of weeks ago and Nightmare at 20,000 Feet was on last week - might still be on Listen Again.

I prefer the last story in its original form, when it starred William Shatner. Screened in 1963. Do a Google video search for the whole programme. :)

It would seem that others disagree. :D

Basically, apart from Kick The Can, which is just boring, the other three stories are all very good - as is Dan Aykroyd at the beginning and end :- "Do you want to see something really scary?"

Haha, that scene is classic. I still use that. Whenever I'm driving with one of my frienRAB late at night I often flick the lights off and say "Do you wanna see something REALLY scary?" :D
