my question is this, should Smeyer be able to take such liberties with the powers of the vampires?
i understand the word fiction, and i understand she has the write to add things, but the extent at which she changes things is going a bit far, to me it was like reading about a bad romance novel with vampires to spice it up...
every author can change their vampire a bit, or base theirs off a vampire from another region, but i don't want to see so many changes, that is really pushing the line.
for the record everything needs a weakness, for vampires it garlic and holy objects, and sunlight, but these have no weaknesses,
never mind the personality differences,
