The state of our country is at an all time low and the reasons are not difficult to fathom. You have highlighted 2 cases this week, but on its heels comes another case which serves to show why we are in the state we are in.
Renate Bowling, who has osteoporosis, curvature of the spine and diabetes, was given a conditional discharge at Blackpool Magistrates' Court for "assaulting" a 17-year-old outside her home in Thornton Cleveleys. The mother-of-three was also fined £50 for the offence.
Speaking after the hearing, Mrs Bowling expressed "disgust" at her prosecution. "I was treated like a criminal and thrown into the back of a police van," she said... I have been terrorised for many months and I just can't take it anymore. I did not injure him, I had just had enough and I wanted to see who he was. Stones and rocks have been hurled at my windows, I have been called a German whore and I feel scared in my own home. My husband has passed away and I live alone, without my children and my grandchildren I would despair."
She escaped to Britain get away from the Nazis but Blackpool and the CPS have delivered her our version of Kristallnacht. The authorities and police chose to believe a hyper-active 17 year old who claimed he was assualted by a 71 year old grandmother suffering from a catalogue of illnesses! The yob who hounded her has been given a message - keep going for old pensioners and if they retaliate we will make sure they are punished!
Well done, CPS! Punish the victims and protect the yobs. Do our pensioners have to commit suicide before they get any attention? maybe it's time we gave the CPS and Blackpool police ASBOs. With agencies like these to "protect" us, who needs yobs?
