TV spin off movies- favs ?

I love those spin off movies based on TV comedies, such as On the buses, Steptoe etc

The 70s films seem to be the best, TV heaven !

The Likely LaRAB was one of the better ones. It always used to amaze me how different the actors sounded on the big screen compared to the rubbish tv set sound.
Best modern spin off is Serenity.

That may also be down to the slower running speed of film compared to VT.
US dvd's and VT run the same as film,but UK PAL stuff is 2% faster.
Watch a R1 dvd of Star trek then watch an episode on tv and hear the higher pitch voices

One of the best, although some forget that it started as a tv show, albeit a failed one is Police Squad! The Naked Gun movies are a hoot.

I have to admit the "Are You Being Served?" movie is a favourite of mine.I loved the show & still do.I also like the film "Steptoe & Son Ride Again".That's the 1 with the greyhound & Albert fakes his death & the "Dad's Army" movie.
