Turtle Wax Ice synthetic liquid wax

Tried them all on the black on my fender and shot a 100,000cp spotlight over it. Lucas looked the worst, Pledge shined as well as any at half the price.
I can't say for bikes that live outside, but mine always beads with the Pledge and you can use it on the bags too. The Pledge also dries a little quicker, so it's faster to buff out.

Guess I'm going to have to try this ICE. When I see page after page of positive posts and no negitive posts......that product has to be good. So as soon as I use up all my other waxes, I'll get ICE.

Someone mentioned smearing. This summer I used Harleys spray cleaner/wax up in Canada on vacation and it smeared. I couldn't figure out why. Then a couple weeks ago I was waxing my bike with regular Turtle Wax and it smeared also. Really had to use elbow greasem both times to buff it out. I've used both these products before with no problems, even when humid. I first thought it might be a special finish on the new bikes(2010 Ultra Limited). Anybody else have any thoughts other then humidity????

I'm going to try the Ice for touch ups, but I have already become hopelessly addicted to the smell of Mother's Carnuba Wax. It actually smells so delicious, it makes you want to drink the stuff. You talk about a great marketing plan...

Yup great stuff! I use both the wax and the detail, I waxed two years ago and have just used the detail since. I will probably wax it again this winter..........or maybe not.

I've found that some of the detail sprays don't play well together with the paste waxes that get used. If I have waxed the scoot recently and then a few days or weeks later go to use the detail spray then I get a dull looking finish if I don't really put the elbow grease to it. I use the ICE paste and either the ICE or Captian Richards spray on for quick cleanups. Mainly I found that the HD spray don't mix with the ICE and the Captian Richards don't mix with the NXT.

Stoner, I've used many different waxes and polishes and never had a compatability problem before......ever. That's why I'm baffled this time. I know I'm wrong, but I can't get it out of my mind that there is some kind of finish on the new bike that doesn't play nice with waxes. Dumb, huh?
I can see having one type of wax not work, but 2 different brands? Where's Sherlock Holmes when you need him? LOL

These are both waxes not spray detailers.

When you spray the syn wax on the textured black engine cases, do you still wipe it off, or should I let it absorb in to the finish? I'm just concerned with the heat from the engine. The polish, wax and quick detailer works and looks great on everything else. I'm sold on the Ice products. I put some on the seat and it looks great, but it makes it a little slick.

Ride safe,

Bob.

One spray wax versus the other I have not had much of any problemn with Gary just the detail spray versus the wax. I guess it could have been due to humidity as others have said just didn't pay that much attention to it at the time.

WOW, you guys wax your rides?

I have had my SG for 4 years and it has never seen any wax. I have tried Pledge and all it did was streak. I use Harley Glaze only and the bike still looks like new.
