turning off tv during a storm?

My grandmom wants me to turn off the tv because it might get electrocuted is that possible

No it is not possible to get electrocuted, unless you stick your finger in the outlet, lol. But it is more likely the T.V can be surged in a rain storm with lighting. So as long if you have a good surge protector you and your T.V. will be safe. Hope this helps you.

Uhhh well it depends on the storm. Well if its bad and theres a power surge the tv will most likely jst kinda go black and stop working for good. But there have been EXTREMELY RARE cases of the tv like exploding and all the electronics flying out and killing ppl.
