Turning dyed black hair red?

I have just bought some Jerome Russel bleach from boots and I am going to leave it on my hair for an hour and a half. I am scared that it will go green. I don't have the money to have it done in a salon. Afterwards I am going to dye it with loreal feria red dye.
Will this work?

an hour and a half?! are you crazy?! an hour at the absolute maximum, but you ARE going to ruin your hair. it will work, but youre gonna be practically drinking leave-in conditioner to get any kind of health to it afterwards.

it wont go green, it will probably go orange/yellow. but that wont matter so much if youre going red. prepare yourself beforehand though, get PLENTY of red hairdye.

i personally use a mixture between Schwartzkopf XXL Live Colour in Real Red, and Directions semi permanent hair colourant in Vermillion and Coral Red.

the directions pots have loads of conditioners in them and really soften your hair. but be warned that if you get your hair wet, like in the rain or something, colour can transfer and run onto clothes.

even if youre using L'oreal, id still recommend getting a pot of the semi permanent colour too. It conditions and colours WITHOUT ruining your hair!

hope this helps!

you're definitely going to hurt your hair, i took cosmetology for two years, and I honestly think you should wait, save up, and go to a salon, and you might even have to go there for more than one visit, too much color treatment to your hair in a short amount of time can cause ridiculous damage. and if you still end up doing this, Id love to see a picture of how it turned out:]

omg omg omg dont do it!! i am a cosmetologist! dont use the feira!!! you will never come back form that! feira only works WITH FEIRA. otherwise your hair will turn to wax... as well as leaveing that bleach on FOR EVEN AN HOUR!

i went from black to platuim and it was a process. dont you dare leave that bleach on that long. you only need it partialy lightend b/c your dying it red. your hair wont turn green either. it will be bright orange after about thirty minutes. wash it off then. put a different red dye in and call it cute. i recomend garnier or clairol. and invest in a deep conditioner or a nice jar of mayonaise (NOT MIRICLE WHIP) for your hair.

I would NEVER leave bleach on hair that long!! Plus the red will wash out really quickly...

You need a pre lightner and to leave it on as long as the box says!!
