i have an 1987 yamaha scooter. the turn signals will turn on, but they do not flash. the rear tailight also appears to be dim, and the tailights may not be as bright as theyre supposed to be, but its hard to tell for sure since i only got this thing a few weeks ago and have no idea what it was like brand new...
ive located the flasher unit and pulled it out of its black plastic housing. nothing appears wrong with it just by looking, however i realized that by grounding the metal casing to my scooters rack it will flash very rapidly, so rapidly that only the tailight actually flashes.
im trying to determine if theres resistence somewhere in the wiring, or if theres something wrong with the actual flasher unit. If there is resistence somewhere, i have no idea where as everything appears to be connected good.
Do I have to completely rewire the thing to figure this out or is there an easier solution?
