turn by turn bicycle navigation?

Is there a way to enable turn by turn navigation with Google's bicycle directions?

I finally mounted my Defy to my handlebars last night and was disappointed that I could not get my bike route to show up in the navigation app. I could view my route in the map view, but the screen times out and I have to manually drag the map as I ride. this isn't the safest option, at all.
 
i just red elsewhere that the navigation app will allow for turn-by-turn walking directions. so why not cycling.

i can't use the walking directions because it guides me down one-way streets.
