Turn a Classic into a classic

Here we are, after I've been following this thread for a while... finally got some of the last few pieces installed that really make my Classic look classic to me. Thanks to all of you for the pictures, details, and inspiration!

A few notes on upgrades: Wild 1s Chubbies "Road King" barsVisors on headlights, taillight, turn signalsVance & Hines Fishtail slip-onsIron Bags "Iron T" saddlebagsRound air cleaner cover (HD)Round horn cover Unexpectedly, I think the round horn cover is one of the most important parts to making the Road King look less modern. The standard "cowbell" horn cover stands out so clearly as a post-AMF-era Harley look that doing away with it is surprisingly effective at taking the bike back in time.

Not much left to change... my girl and I have a challenge between us to paint our bikes ourselves. Not quite decided which way to go, but I'm sure it'll be fun!

I totally agree... I just added the round horn cover to my FLHRCI a few days ago too, and loved the new/old look it gave!!

My guess is that picture was taken at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. His bike was facing south...that's Cheyenne Mountain (NORAD sits underneath it) behind the passenger seat, in the background.

.357 - Suweeeet bike! I like the new saddlebags on it...really takes your bike to a completely different level.
