Turn a Classic into a classic

Glad I saw those. I think they would look good on your bike!!! I think I must have been thinking more of the '58 or '59 with the black/red arrow...

Need all your input on a seat swap for my 2008 RKC. I got an Sundowner deep bucket seat with a back rest for the wife. I hate the seat but need 1 that is comfortable for her with a back rest or beable to use the back rest I got now with it.

Just got a stock 09 RKC. I love the ideas I'm getting from this thread, and have a whole lot of stuff to do before I get it where I want it. But first I have to get rid of the horrible stock pipes. I'm completely new to exhaust mods, and don't really understand all this PCV, mapping, etc. stuff. But I have been looking at the Samson true dual headers with fishtails. never seen or heard them in person but like what I've seen on videos. they seem to have that classic look and sound. I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with them. Besides dropping $800 on the system. What else would you have to buy to get the air mixture right?

You'll find a lot of threads in the touring section on that. There are several options, including the PCV you mentioned. I'm no expert (but I'm not going to let that stop me from posting) but I think the PCV is a good solution for most people. Those who want to really fine tune their ride might want something different. You'll see a lot of strong opinions on your options. Good luck.

A lot depends on what you don't like about the Sundowner? Is it uncomforatable? If so, in what way? Or is it just that you don't like how it looks? If it's a looks thing, you might want to consider keeping it for long rides with your wife, and get something sleeker looking for when you're just tooling around town. LOTS of options there.

Hey ElRey

Nice looking ride you got there in your avartar.

Tell me if you will; where did you buy that tint?

Years ago I had put in all over my wind shield and with a blue '85 Elec.Glide I still have it. I'm in the process of sanding and getting it ready for paint.

I'm just GRATEFULL for all the blessing JESUS has allowed me to have for awhile.
