Turn a Classic into a classic

I have an '07 RKC, I have always loved the classic styling which is why I have the RK. I am currently running the Dunlop white walls but am thinking of going back to th Avon Gangster white walls, I had them on a Heritage I had a few years ago. Does anyone have thoughts on the Gangster white walls by Avon?

If you want to ride a classic HD, Get a classic Hd. I'm talking a real Harley F@#$%^ing Davidson. God, I feel old. Just an old man's rant. cole

I've asked around(on here too) and never get a response. I love the look but wondered about the upkeep with the raised lettering. Seems it would show too much and be a catcher for dust and dirt.

What was your experience?
Cleaning, PITA?
Handling, squirmy?
Traction, slippery when wet?
I didn't think the load rating was that high either. I'd read they were for restorations more so than modern bikes.
Pricey buggers too.

Maxxis makes a similar tire.

Awhile back in this thread (not sure what page), someone posted a bike with the Gangters. I inquired about them , and they advised that they were very poor in regards to traction and handling.

I'm going to try the WWW Avon Venoms next time.

Keeping them clean wasnt any worse than any other white wall tire that I have had and they rode fine. However not sure about the load rating though. I havent ran them since 2002 but dont remember any issues I had with the way the handled.
