Turn a Classic into a classic

Well, that really is just a matter of taste, but I like the second one better. It is hard for me because I have the same bike and yours is where I'm going. I think what really sets your bike apart from others is the lite on the front fender. By the way, where are the saddle bag guards in those picts?

Nice thread and great pics. I am in the process of putting a custom look on my 07. The latest addition is hardbags to replace the leather ones. I plan to extend them 2.5 inches over the exhaust and repaint the tins to include some more of the cobalt blue.

ON EDIT: forgot to mention this winter I plan to pull the front end off and replace the cowbells and lowers with chrome, put chromed rotors and axle spacers on too.

The mufflers are HD Screamin' Eagle Touring mufflers : #64985-07A
The tips are HD #65245-96....I believe this is the same setup that Pastor John is running on his bike.

Beary: I hadn't bought the saddlebag rails when this picture was taken. There'll still on the bike.

47Norton: I havent' done anything with the paint...yet...and I don't know when or if I'll do it. I really like Sol's bike and would lean towards a scheme like his...in blue & white.

Bryan TTM: It was reallymy pleasure to ride with you and all your rowdy Texas friends. And you area damn lucky man...married to Miss Texas 2004.

Ok, Whiskers I like the look of the newer eyebrows, but for pure "olskool" the visors are it. Thats why I went with the frenched ones, I'm heading in the "50's" look with mine. I too am looking to paint the RK but have not come up with a design yet. Love your bike.

Since this thread is about sharing ideas I thought I'd let you take a look at a couple items I added to my bike recently. The first are chrome levers from Iron Braids. The company offers a good color selection of their leather and the blue & white combination matched the paint quite well. The second are Speedball Front Axle Caps from Cycle Vision of San Diego (www.cyclevision.com). HD has a similar accessory for Springers and my friend, Maniac was able to machine a set to fithis Fat Boy...but he said it was a lot of work. A local HD Dealer pointed out these in a catalog and I ordered a set. They're billet aluminum, chromed and quite heavy. As soon as I put on these axle caps the first thing I thought of was that I needed to bite the $$ bullet and add the chrome forklowers. Another winter project.

BTW, Keep this tread alive! Take care my friends.

Having had the earlier style visors on my evo heritage and now having the later style trim rings on my 07 FLHRC I can honestly say that I prefer the look of the newer trim rings, what I don't like is the gap in the trim ring on the headlight.Classic is classic there is no denying that.
