So i took my driving test yesterday and the guy purposely failed me for not stopping at the red light and waiting for it to turn green before turning right. And i have no clue why he failed me for that when i didnt see a sign that forbid turning right at the stop light, and the book said to stop look, look again and then turn right which i did.

So my question is, can you turn right at a red light during a driving test? i asked some people and they said during the test your suppose to wait for the light and then turn. But i have no idea and i forgot to ask him why too.

While its not an illegal turn, your driving instruction may have not felt you did a five-point stop. You come to a full stop behind the line and wait 5 seconds and then can proceed.

Or he may have just not liked that you made a right on red. Sometimes they can be in a bad mood and sometimes they just don't care at all and pass people who shouldn't really be driving. Go ahead and try and take the test again, and make sure to just wait til the light is green, if only to appease the driving instructor.
