Sorry to have been so vague. No, the bottom section for Graffiti input does not come up. The entire screen does come up to show the original startup screen. I have since repeated the cold reset and synchronized with no additional add-on programs and the screen came up correctly. Since then, I have added a program at a time and so far the screen is normal.
It must have been sone (or more) of the new software downloads that I tried recently. These were suggestions given on the Bulletin board in response to a question about what might be good programs for the Palm. I am not sure of the culprit, but I can echo the often repeated warnings about loading new programs, especially on a new Palm product.
