Tungsten T - resets won't cure odd problem

Hello everybody...My Tungsten T took 2 falls recently but was fine until last night.

I can't tap on the screen without the 'Find' program starting. Tapping the 'cancel' or 'ok' fields won't quit the 'Find' screen. The T does acknowledge a tap with a beep. Hitting a button gets the 'Find' screen off.

What works:
The buttons work. The power button works.

What doesn't work:
Tapping won't work. All I get is the 'Find' screen. I can see what's on the rest of the screen but can't get in to do anything.

Resets:
It's stubborn with the soft, medium, and hard resets. A few looked like they were happening.
The hard reset eventually took but did not erase the data after I chose the option. The problem persists.

Can anybody offer some advice?

There has been similar problems posted earlier. The problem could be caused by the falls, which have twisted the case just enough to apply pressure on a point of the screen, which activates the find function.
Try to twist the case to and fro violently by hand a couple of times (not using any tools). There is a slim chance, this will release the pressure on the screen.
If this does not work, I believe a trip to a repairshop is necessary.
