Tungsten II memory loss

I have been using my T2 for the past two years with no problems. Now whenever the battery is dry the PDA looses it's memory and I must syn to restore.
Is it a battery problem, can I repair it with the necessary parts. I really like my T2 and which to repair it.

It sounds like a battery problem. You might want to check this thread to find a replacement battery.

just to clarify...is your problem that the battery drains regularly, or that the memory is lost when the battery runs out. If it is the latter, then this is normal and there is no fault with the machine...

The T 2 looses it's entire memory when the battery is dry, the batteries no longer last as long either.

ok, battery depeltion causes a 'power down' hard reset which wipes everything, nothing wrong there. The battery will go off over time, my TT battery life is about 1/2 what it was from new (2 years hard use). You might tryu to reset the charge circuit by soft resetting in the cradle and charging for at least 4 hours. Otherwise, a new battery may be in order. HTH
