Tuesday is my big day (gulp)

I am having my L-3, L-4 L-5 laminectory and discetomy Tuesday a.m. I will only be in the hospital one day two max. I hope I come back on board with a great success story. Crossing my fingers I will be sipping my coffee by noon tomorrow and watching American Idol by evening.

Good Luck, Mel!! Yours are the same areas I had my laminectomies in (L3 through L5). I was in the hospital 2 1/2 days, though. After you get home & are able to, let us know how you are faring. Of course you will be in pain post-surgery, but I hope your original pain goes away.

MEL - - I just wanted to wish you luck and let you no that we are all here for you !! Lots of us are going threw what you are going threw , i had surgery 22 days ago.. Allthough i am still in a great deal of pain , each passing day will get better ..

Listen to your doctor , no bending or twisiting & walk as soon as possible.. I'm sure you read - get your self a grabber and Either satin sheets or p'j`s.. I purchased satin pajamas and they make a big diffeerence getting in and out of bed.. BEST WISHES !!!!!

Congrats Mel.....Your surgery must be over by now....and now it's on to recovery....all the best and please do keep us posted......Take it slow.......;)
