I don't know what to say - that is a VERY old stereo and I am surprised it has worked this long. It will be hard to even find someone who will repair it. If you love it enough, you will find someone.

There are many great stereos out there now for less than it will cost to repair that unit.

I have this beautiful FM/AM console, and it is just dead. I plug it in, and not even the pilot lightbulb will come on. The record player is also dead. Nothing turnes on and there is not cooked smell.
I don't know what could be wrong. Could it be a failed transformer? If it was that, then why isn't the pilot light not lighting? The lone cord is bandaged from the last guy who onwned it, so I don't know. Maybe it is a blown fuse somewhere? I like this thing, it has a beautiful non bulky wood cabonet, and a magis glowing eye tube. I want to use this to play music vis my laptop in my living roo,. Help me, it is an old RCA.
