So I just got done watch season 1 of Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles on Blu Ray and had some comments and some questions.

Comments first:
Pretty generic series overall but had a decent feel about it. Felt like I kinda was forcing myself to get through it though by the end. Had a pretty abrupt and random ending, maybe it was all one continuous series and that is just where season 1 happened to end.

Questions:
-What was the deal with Syaoran's right eye? It was said in the series it was blind or something? I didn't really get it.
-Why doesn't Fay ever use magic? He gave up his tattoo in order to travel to different worlRAB and he said he made a vow at one point, but for being a magician and never using magic it really was never explained why. This point annoyed me greatly throughout the whole series ... a magic user is traveling around but he randomly never used magic?
-What is the connection with the card capter Sakura anime and this one? I have never seen card capter Sakura, but just in passing I noticed the characters look really similar for some reason.

Any other comments people want to make are fine too. Thanks

Tsubasa is a very good anime it gets better as it go's along. His right eye has a magical seal placed in it, he cant see out of it. It contains a piece of his heart. Fay is a mystery still alot not know about him, it looks like he may have had a troubled past. There is no direct connetcion. The connection is that its made by the same group Clamp they alway use there same characters and make a new story out of them. There have been some manga and ova specials where the there seperate series meet each other.

I did not watch all of the anime, but read the manga to its conclusion. Nothing much made sense after about 3/4 of the way through. It is the most convoluted story I've ever seen. But it had the main characters from Card Captor Sakura, which was cool, even though Sakura was comatose through half the story.

One of my favorites. I really enjoyed the anime of it and it kept me glued all way through, but I really never got into the manga weirdly enough.

I'd give the anime a 10/10 and if you haven't noticed, the music in Tsubasa is remarkable. That also goes for the dvd title page, episode page, etc.

I watched all of season 1, and...wut?

This anime's story is ridiculous. WAY too many useless character complications that ultimately don't make any sense whatsoever.

Probably the only major issue I had with the story was that it supposedly tried to "open up" a multiverse, in which many more realities and many more characters could exist. Yet they felt the need to recycle character names, images, personas, etc over and over for absolutely no reason. It made the story a complete headache to understand, and a feat to explain to someone.
