Trying to start a wedding cartographer business.?

I know that there are many weddings and events every week. And that there are established business out there that can use some help editing or shooting the events. What is the best way to approach these business and owners to offer my skills.
 
Lots of networking. Go directly to their offices and ask the owner directly. Find out from others in their business if they are looking for help. Make sure your resume is up to par. GL
