I played a PC game several years ago, but I've completely forgotten what it was called. It was my friends who had it, but he doesn't remember either.
It was a game where you have a main base (looked like a pyramid), and you built towers around out. These towers all had to be connected to each other to work, and they were connected by a beam of light.
You built towers that fired at a swarm of bugs that came out hills in the terrain.
That's all I can really remember about it.
It was basically like a 3D version of Creeper World ( http://www.blogcdn.com/news.bigdownload.com/media/2009/07/creeper-world.jpg ), but with bugs, and it was a full desktop PC game.
