I remember seeing this painting during high school art class and was trying to find its name / a picture for a friend to no success.
It is a painting of a bunch of scholars standing on a short but wide staircase (the staircase spans most of the width of the painting.) The scholars look Greek and are mostly wearing togas, all in different pretty vivid colors and appear to be chatting amongst themselves. I think the painting is outdoors and the sky is visible. Other aspects of life in the courtyard may be visible but the scholars are the main focus. I assume it's a Renaissance painting but can't remember.
