I saw a picture of a painting on campus in passing, but when I went back it was gone, and now it's driving me crazy (still, actually. I saw it in Feb of 08).
Ok, so I'm pretty sure the style was baroque or maybe rococo. As I recall, It depicted a man on the ground cowering on his back, his arm raised above his head to protect himself from a horse and rider. The horse is rearing up on its hind legs. I think that the horse was on the right side facing toward the left.
Also, it is definitely not either of Caravaggio's horse/man paintings.
