Trying to find specific hospital

I have been having massive chest pain/pressure for eight months now. Needless to say, I have had a HUGE amount of tests, all negative for everything.

A few examples: EKG, EKG stress test, echocardiogram, x-rays, CTs, endoscopy, barium swallow, colonoscopy, ultrasound, HIDA test (gallbladder), food allergies, coronary ct scan...

also been run on ppi's, anti-inflammatories, and anti-depression/anti-anxiety meds.

OK, SO THAT IS NOT MY QUESTION, THIS IS:

My doctors are now saying I should check out specialized chest pain clinics/hospitals. They said they would help me with this, but they also said I should start checking out some on my own. Does anyone have any recommendations? About all I have have found for specific, (and almost surely non-cardiac) chest pain is the Mayo Clinic. That is all well and good, just wondering if anyone else had other suggestions?

U.S. News and World Report does a periodic survey of hospitals in the U.S. You can find at least the basics of their survey online . . . the actual article might have more info. Good luck!

I dont know where you live but i know a great doc. he has saved my mother's life when nobody else could. he is one of the best in the country as well. he has perfected many heart surgery procedures. his name is dr. c. mark newton. look him up if you want. good luck

while alot really would depend more on just where you live and what you can get to, i am just wondering if this just is not something other than a cardiac issue just considering the massive testing with no real findings yet?? your whole cardiac and that heart more specifically was pretty well checked out with no actual solid findings, correct?

have you EVER actually had a good look at your spinal with a contrasted MRI just to see what may be there that(trust me here) very easily just could mimic alot of symptoms that are possible to actually even feel in the front or inside? its just the way the spinal nerves run and connect and the 'dermatomes' are that are basically the wrap around innervated areas created by the spinal nerves? its a "wrap around the body" type of innervation, not only like the back area? the kind of rule of thumb here with having pain of some kind, or "perceptions' of some really off the wall types of ongoing symptoms just is, if it ain't in the front, you look at the back/spinal and cord levels just to see if there is not 'something, esp if it involves that cord in any way shape of form that could create some really off the wall perceptions/feelings of stuff you would not believe are even possible when the cord has some level of involvement espescially?

honestly, if there are particular types of findings in what would be the higher to mid level T spine areas goin on, you very easily could have alot of possible things being felt within that chest area alone. or anything that can impact whats called the "vagus nerve" that simply does run from the brain thru the neck and right smack into that upper to mid GI area, that too could create alot if possible symptoms/problems too?

what i would do right now if this were me is simply ask even your primary doc to actually refer you for a full spinal contrasted MRI to be done just to either rule it out or in as a possible generator of your inner chest symptoms before even starting to actually look for 'hospitals' at all. you just really NEED that one looksee at that spinal and cord as one real solid possible, esp since all your other cardiac types of testing have not shown any real abnormalities here.

if you had actually even shown anything abnormal with all that in depth types of testing you had for any cardiac involvement, then i would be diving into finding what you asked about here in your post, BUT from what you have stated here, that simply has not yet panned out here for ya. soooo the next thing is to just really look at ALL potential areas that simply could realistically create issues in there and that one bigger place IS simply your spinal. it just 'is'. trust me on that one. it all would really depend upon what could be there and what levels are being impacted that would show symptoms at all. this just does need to be looked at and at the very least included or cleared before you go ahead with what you are planning. or it all could just be a huge waste of time and your money too if the basic issue has actually just been within that spinal the whole time but never looked at to really find it? like i mentioned above, the very basic rule of thumb.

this is just what i would make darn certain to have cleared first before anything else if i were in your shoes right now, simply knowing how really impactful certain spinal findings can be to the front of the body or the 'inner" body areas. there just are other possibles here for your type of symptoms other than only cardiac. just simply ask your primary about this, and make certain this just IS a full and contrasted type of MRI to be done(the contrast will just show more findings and the more kinds of 'hidden" ones too). this should NOT be any sort of problem considering you still have strong symptoms of unknown etiology here. hopefully you can simply get this one test done to either rule it in or out as the real generator, then you can move onto other things, or better explore whatever real hard findings just may actually show up on that one MRI. this just needs to be thoroughly explored first before moving onto looking for hospitals for any real cardiac or 'other'.

just see your primary to get this one type of spinal MRI done just to look at your esp T spine level and see if this is not what just is creating what it is you are feeling. it just IS the biggest area of overall innervation of our whole entire bodies. if i had not felt what i have from MY spinal crap, i would not have ever really believed it was even possible to feel soo many really insane feelings or real like "active/ongoing percepcions" of stuff with what i had and have in my spinal and what was in my cord too. even just having anything form very direct compression upon your actual cord CAN really create what it is you are feeling here with pressure. just get it at least ruled in or out at this point. good luck with this and please do let us know what you find out.
