Trying to find out name of an anti-drug cartoon...

So this has been bothering me for a while.

When I was in Elementary School, they showed us an anti-drug cartoon about a bunch of kids being hounded by two guys dressed as a bee and bunny driving around in a van trying to sell them weed. The only other thing I remember is that they show a lot of people doing drugs and eventually they turn old or hideous or something. Does anyone know which cartoon I'm talking about?

I know what you're talking about as well. IIRC, one of them actually reformed at the end. Something about a monster too, I think.

There was. The booklet we were given had little drawings of the dog in the corner of the pages and could be used as a flipbook.

I believe the monster was a giant doobie. IIRC it looked something like the caterpillar from Alice In Wonderland.

Hey, that rang a few bells for me.

From what I remember, artwise that D.A.R.E. cartoon resembled a hybrid between the styles of The Simpsons and Hey Arnold (particularly in the construction of the eyes and mouths). I have one of the old DARE activity books that featured art from the movie.

I don't recall ever seeing those when I was in third, fourth grade (circa 1994 or so)... maybe they weren't all that big in Maine.

How did they compare to the... thing that is "Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue?" I remember seeing THAT one a few times in classes.

Ah, D.A.R.E. That brings back alot of memories.

I also remember the follow up "G.R.E.A.T." that tried to teach us about gangs. Wasn't as long of a program though.

Yes, the little bee-guy (sidekick to the rabbit-guy, who was the main antagonist) managed to back out before it was over. I remember seeing this, too, down to a near-nonsensical resolution involving a huge electric plug in the wall, but I can't give you any names, sorry.
