Trying to find a tv show on either in the late 70s or early 80s?

i live in Melbourne Australia and when I was a young kid, not exactly sure of the year, but i used to watch a show that was on in the afternoon every day, can't remember the channel but it was about a teenage girl with long dark hair, brown i think, who befriends a ghost and only she can see this ghost and her mum doesn't believe her, my memory is very vague, does anyone know what show it might have been.
