Trying to decide between M109R vs M90

Haven't posted in a while - but of course when faced with a big decision I come here first!

So went be RideNow today. They are prepared to give me $4600 for my 05 M50 with less than 6,000 miles on it. I think thats a fair trade.

I went into the dealership with the intent to just look at and see if they had an M90 in stock since they just came out and I hadn't seen one in person yet. One word, lovely. They are asking MSRP $10,599 for it. After talking through the deal and see that they are giving me a fair amount for my M50, I'm highly considering it. Talked to my wife over the phone, she didn't say no, but wants me to sleep on it for a day.

As I'm walking out, they have an 08, used with less than 100 miles on it, M109R for $10,899. So for only $300 more, I can have an M109R. Since its used, I dont pay destination (etc) charges, so its basically the same price.

What do you guys think? M90 or M109R?

I like the M90 - but the M109R is the big daddy - there's no upgrading from there. But Im not sure about ride quality - which is important to me. Anyone one here ridden both?

I need feed back my friends - I'm 90% positive I'm going to buy one of these bikes.

The M50 has been a great first bike, I've had it for 3 riding seasons now - time to upgrade.

For the same price, get the M109r. It is a rocket ship. I rode the M90 very briefly at my buddy's dealership, and frankly was not very impressed. It is "good enough", if you know what I mean, but not spectacular. Provided, of course, the 109 is still under warranty and the interest rate is the same.

I have never ridden the M90, But I have a M109R. I really like the 109. I like the ride. the power is nice.

The 109 is not for a beginner, however you have been riding a wile, If you like power get the 109.

How tall are you? In my opinion the 109 isn't for the vertically challenged and is a heavier than the 90 I'm sure. I had a chance to sit on the M90 and it felt pretty good to me. I'm 5'8" with a 31" inseam.

In the end it's up to you. Good luck with your choice, I don't think you can go wrong with either bike.

I am 5'7 and have a 28 inch inseam and am comfortable on the 109. I did ad 2" risers, cuz i have short arms as well. It works for me.

Only you can decide which bike you like best.

techgesture which bike did you decide upon? I have been looking at a couple of bikes and thought that the M90 was a great value.

I didn't end up buying - wife killed that one - still with the M50 - need to find a way to fall in love with the M50 all over again - I smell customizing budget coming.
