I recently acquired an 87 yamaha riva 80cc scooter with 1700 miles on it. Im trying to figure out how to adjust it so that it runs smooth, and dosent want to stall out on me when i come to a stop. Ive got it to the point to where its NOT wanting to die down every time i come to a stop, however, it seems a little too powerful... like you really have to rely on the brakes when idleing, or else it wants to lurch forward.
im starting to think that with the automatic transmission its never going to really be perfect in this regard, and maybe thats why you only see the automatics on small scooters.
Am I right here?
Any thoughts or advice on this thing would be appreciated...
