Trying to activate a new phone from verizon?

Did they activate her number on it. It should work unless they activated her number on it already. in which case you have to deactivate her number on it before you can activate yours. You can do this by calling them or by taking it into the store. I would suggest taking it into the store that way they could transfer your pics and contacts anyway.
 
Okay so me and my mom both have a plan together on verizon, She recently got an upgrade and decided to take the new phone she could've gotten, because she doesn't want it. But now i can't activate it. Because it was her upgrade phone, am i not allowed to have it on my number?
it says programing needed whenever i turn on the phone.
 
It depends on if it's still activated under her number. If it's not, and she's using a completely different phone for her number, just call verizon and let them know you wanna activate it with YOUR number, and they should do it for you :)
