Trying not to get rear ended

I'd go with the BAL if I could afford one, as opposed to this set up. But to each their own, and I can't be the judge of that one. A Harley that's not been modified is just a Harley. It's what we do to them that makes them ours.

I was rear ended in my cage back in 80' so I am extra careful of cars approaching. I can't count how many accidents I have avoided since then, but their have been more than a few.
One time in particular a lady was giving me the "LOOK" when I pulled up in somebody's yard to her right. When I pointed to the rear, you should have seen the look on her face as this old Oldsmobile was squealing to a halt.
Priceless!

I wish you the best of luck, I had my 2nd rear end last week. The first one did 6k worth of damage, the one last week was lucky, small scratch on the tour pak. I'd like to mount a 12 guage shotgun on the back in case some dipwad on a cell phone gets close

Closest I've come to being killed was on the NJ turnpike, guy on a cell phone tried to change lanes and turn into me and mash me into the wall. All those lights wouldn't have helped me. You could have strobe lights going and some people won't see you.
