Okay, so my first riddle is:
There was this very rich man. He had all he ever wanted, and even more. One day, some people broke into his house and stole some of his things. He got spooked, and hired a guard to guard his house. One day, when the man was about to leave for the airport for a business meeting somewhere, his guard told him, "Sir! Sir! Stay home; I had a dream that the plane you were on crashed, and all the people on it died". The man got scared, and decided to stay home. Then the news came on the t.v., and sure enough, there was a report on the plane that the man was going to take saying that it crashed, and everyone on the plane died. The man was angry, and fired his guard. Why did he fire his guard?
Here's another one:
There was a king who knew he was close to his death. He wanted to choose a son to take over his palace, but he couldn't choose between his two sons. They were both kind, intelligent, and sensible. He told his sons, "Okay sons, I want you to take your horses, ride them down to the bridge, and race back". The sons were excited; they knew their horse was the fastest. But the king told them that their horse had to be the last one back to get the palace. The sons were confused, and left. When they got to the bridge, they were arguing about who should go first. Then, an old man hobbled up and asked what was wrong. The princes told him what the kind had said, and the old man said, "I have an idea". He whispered in the princes' ears, and both of them jumped on the horses and took off toward the castle. What did the old man tell the princes to make them race back like that?
First person to get both answers correct gets 10 points! No fair copying other people's answers, unless you had the same idea.
Good answer, yaLSEW, your answer was the only correct one. And the other person who said the princes races back on foot had a good guess, but it's not the answer.
Oh, I have another riddle.
There's this woman who lives in the penthouse at the highest floor of her building. Every day she goes to the elevator, presses for the first floor, and takes the elevator down. Then she walks to work. But when she gets back home, she goes to the sixth floor, and then walks up to her penthouse apartment. She does this every day. The only two exeptions where she goes all the way up is if it's raining outside, or if someone else is in the elevator with her. Why does she do this?
Don't take this riddle's answer offensively, anyone. It's just a riddle. I don't mean to get anyone mad.
Clay D got two answers correct! Now the only riddle to solve is the second one. This is the hardest, I think.
Yay! Jamie got the riddles right!!! I also want to congratulate the other people who answered the riddles correctly too.
