Try again..Inglorious..

If you didn't know, Tarantino wasn't re-making the original 'version' of The Inglorious BastarRAB with his Inglourious BasterRAB. All he did was use the title and tweak it a little. Aside from the fact that they're both set during WWII, any similarity in the plot between the two films is entirely co-incidental and you shouldn't judge QT's film as any sort of remake of the 1978 film.

Your'e right, I didn't know as such, I suppose by virtue of the fact he only borrowed the title answers my question..

I still think QT's plot for IB was a little bit flat, regardles of the original, but then to compare it to something like Jackie Brown is unfair. Alot of the film did seem to be developing the Nazi's, in particular the Jewhunter.

I'll still stand by the fact that the original plot would have been a better vehicle for QT's 'usual' style of films, with more tangents and side plots.

Saying that, I'm a bricklayer, not a film critic :D

The plot of the original was pretty much lifted wholesale from The Dirty Dozen so QT making Cinema Paradiso as envisaged by Leni Riefenstahl was a terrific wheeze.
