True-Track for 2009+...why?

I saw the other day they now have a True-Track for 2009+ bagger.

What gives? I thought the new frame fixed these problems, but the True Track blurb I read said people are starting to complain now...

Please tell me it's just a gimmick!

Harley now uses the same style of engine mounting at the front and rear of the engine/transmission unit. This must be better than the previous system, but still means there is possible slight sideways movement in both sets of mounts.

All Buells and rubber-mount Sportsters have stabilizer links at the rear mounting, which gives them superior handling, so I can see that fitting them to an 09 or later might also sharpen up their handling.

That's my best guess! I have True-Track kits on both my Dyna and Glide - my Buell doesn't need one! Be interesting to hear from anyone who has a TT kit on their 09 or later.

I have on on my 2010 SESG. Basically they make such an improvement on 08-down that it could not hurt. I had bought one for my 07, and the day it arrived I bought this 2010. So, I didn't want to ask for a refund (not their fault I didn't need the part) but they had to problems putting it towards one for my new bike. I see it as insurance. If it saves me from just 1 crash, it was money very well spent. Now, just waiting on my Ricor shocks.

If they build it and offer it, people will buy it. Kind of like one old lady telling the local sewing circle about her latest malady. Pretty soon all her friends have the same thing. We all know the old adage "A fool and his money...."

yep...you're right.

Dosen't seem to be a shortage of guys who wnat to throw money at their bikes.

You're only going to get so much handling out of a 900 pound bagger anyway.
