True Romance & House of Wax - Thoughts?!

i just watched these this week and loved both of them!
i think True Romance is highly under-rated considering that Quentin Tarantino wrote the script and it is just brilliant especially the scene where there is the fight between Patricia arquette and James Gandolfini! that was an amazing fight scene.
By House of Wax i mean the re-make.. despite having Paris Hilton in it i thought it was a well done teen slasher movie! if a little gross!

True Romance is an excellent film and still can't understand why it's not raved about as much as 'Reservoir Dogs' or 'Pulp Fiction'.
I can't think of anything I don't like about the film to be honest.
I'm sure I read that Tarantino changed the ending due to studio pressure - the original script had Clarence dying and the last scene in the finished film, where Patricia Arquette is talking, was actually supposed to be the opening scene.

I'm sure there are some film-buRAB out there who can correct me if I'm wrong.

Not seen House of Wax.

yeah i read about the alternate ending earlier on IMDB, i think it said that on the DVD you can watch that ending.
i dont understand why it's not raved about like Pulp fiction either!
it should be!

true romance is one of the best films ever made and is definatly underrated.
house of wax can only be compared to how id imagine id feel if i had my eyeballs removed with a spoon....

xo

"True Romance" what a cast! Shame Tony Scott hasn't matched the power and wit of that film since. Also has at least two classic Tarantino set-pieces that he also hasn't matched since - Christian Slater standing up to Gary Oldman on "White Boy Day", and Dennis Hopper doing likewise to Christopher Walken. Hard-boiled classic.

true romance and house of wax are so different..

its like asking 'what do people think about Salo and Bambi?'

true romance is brilliant and the original ending (which i actually prefer) is on the dvd

it isn't under rated either - got great reviews when it came out and i think stanRAB up better to repeated viewings than an of QT's films that he directed himself to be honest

we watched true romance the other night. i'm not a fan of tarantino at all, can't stand pulp fiction or reservoir dogs, but i have to say i thought this was a fab film.
never seen house of wax so i can't comment
