No matter how well built a phone is, dust eventually finds its way into any part of the phone.

My E60 is built like a rock, but yet, being the phone freak I am, I carefully examine under the screen from time to time to check for any particles of dust, sure enough, there are two TINY specs of dust under the screen..

It must be a real p*ss off for those with really expensive phones..

I believe the E61 was one of the worst when it came to this sort of problem when it first came out, though I agree it will eventually happen to all phones and that sucks.

but the issue I'm having is the MMC door - if I 'squeeze' the phone the wrong way, the phone thinks the door has been opened and tells me it's ok to take out the MMC card. Problem is, since I have most files and apps on the card, it shuts the file/apps if they are open!

I keep the phone in a sideways holster attach to my belt (the TMO one for the SDA). It usually happens when I take it out - I keep the keypad locked. Are others having this issue?

I don't know, I think it's based on the phone design. Many people use some of the very old 'classic' phones like old nokias and such and never had any problem after years of service.

nothing has gone into the screen yet and I carry it uncovered in my paint pocket but the gap on the top is very disturbing so I find myself constantly sticking something in it to clear any sort of debris....back to the topic though, My 8801 has always been carried in my pocket and I dont believe anything is capable of getting behind that screen. The way it is designed I think it's impossible...if anyone could dispute this I would love to read about it. I've had mine for well over a year now and have never carried any other way than my paint pocket.
