People who don't believe in God, arent sure, or are in between make up roughly 16% of the population....they aren't going to elect an atheist

it is not important to me, however to a majority of the country it is. so if the candidate wants any kind of real chance he better at least say he believes

And the treaty of tripoli was found to be faulty and unimportant.

Thanks Captain Irrelevant, tell me more!

okay so if not christian than you're saying it was still founded based on a form of a single god.

Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson were not christians, but were still well grounded with the bible and moral beliefs. The other founding fathers were christian.

Though the country was based on a deity so that all religions can have a part in this country's building, its very foundation had christian influence.

Even before this country had an established government, its first settlers were pilgrims who were strictly christian.

Again, even though the laws state that this country's government was established under a deity, it's had a huge christian influence.

Next president should just preach, "Oh, I love him and he loves me" and then once into office, drops the atheist bomb on everyone.

False.

The funny thing is, forcing religion onto people to the point of religious persecution was one of the reasons people even went looking for a new land to settle on their own.

Then the fucking Puritanical Christians showed up with their manifest destiny bullshit and it was all downhill from there.

Fuck you cacophony for making this retarded ass thread. I feel like punching the monitor now.

NateG is an idiot, who does not know a single thing about the founding of the US
