Why?
I've always been irked by the shows "jokes" about homer strangling his kids, and the mother just making that annoyed noise, and tolerating it. And by how much abuse she takes, right in front of the kids.... I know it's tv, but still, that "child abuse is funny" mentality went out the window ten years ago, and yet the Simpson's keeps right on with the same thing....Sort of like the long scenes in which peter griffin beats up meg or his wife.
