C Chase E New member Jun 17, 2009 #1 1999 ford ranger.died at stop light like it ran out of gas. now it wont turn over.replaced the fuel pump about 9 months ago.battery is good. im thinking fuel pump is problem but wanted to see if theres any other ideas out there

J Jay C New member Jun 17, 2009 #3 i think it's an electrical/computer problem. this happened to my wife's 90's ford ranger back in the day. fords are notoriously bad on electrical problems. you'll probably have to tow it in to the shop...
