Troubles Pairing Bluetooth Headset

I have a Logitech Mobile Traveler F-0399A headset, I have tried to pair it with my blackberry curve 8300, the blackberry will discover it as "audio device", and the blackberry asks me if I want to add it, when I choose yes, the blackberry says "waiting for audio device", then it times out and says "Unable to pair with Audio Device. Try Again?" all while the headset is in discoverable mode?! What should I do? is the headset bad? should i update the blackberry firmware?

Welcome to rabroad! reset your bb by pulling the batt out, then proceed to try again, if that doesn't help then try turning off your bb's bluetooth and try again, hopefully that helps! let us know. good luck!

Already tried just shutting it off, that didn't work, I've removed and replaced the battery now, and found that it still gets stuck at the "Waiting for Audio Device". According to the manual that comes with the Logitech headset, it says that once your cellular recognizes the headset, it will ask for the pairing code...the blackberry doesn't get that far

I also checked to make sure the Headset is compatible with the blackberry, and it is, the compatibility list for this little guy is quite extensive.
I'm wondering if there needs to be a firmware update to the blackberry? As Logitech also says in the manual, that the headset should detect not as "Audio Device" but as "Logitech HS03-Vxx"

If you have followed these instructions in the link, then im all out of options, maybe someone else can answer ...........anyone! good luck!

Funny thing, one of my co-workers has the exact same headset which works, I tried pairing with his, and it worked great...the BB detected it initially as "Audio Device" after about 1-2 seconds, it changed the description to "Logitech HS04 Vxx" then I chose it, and it asked for the pairing code!

So, it's the headset, what are the chances that a brand new headset was shite? Consumer electronics failure off the shelf? 8%? I took it back, got a replacement, let them know what happened, charged the new one...and bingo, it worked like the manual describes!

So, just like the guy at Rogers wireless said: "replace the headset, it's defective".

Thanks for all the help delacruzin05
