I've noticed that the login page has changed, my password doesn't work and I can't recover it. Is there some kind of IRC channel where I can request help?

Deleted for inactivity? Then downloading-wise you must not have used it at all.
Same thing happened to me, and I was seeding a torrent at the time. ......................
You must still login sometimes if you don't want the account to be deleted, regardless of if you're seeding. each tracker has different amount of time you can be idle before being kicked, but usually you should be fine by checking once a month.
