trouble receiving content?

hi im having trouble getting mms messages.....ill get the notification of a message but it says " could not retrieve message content" try again later..so i open the menu and click retrieve content now and nothing still ...even tried a battery pull and nothing.can it be that the server is just busy or my phone or with tmobile?
 
what is in the MMS?
if its video, you can receive those

if its an image, then possibly the image is too large?
 
Sometimes the MMS is just unretrievable through the tower you're connected to. Give it an hour or so and try again. It's not your phone's fault, pure Tmo.

Anytime you receive a video to your Curve, the message will either come through blank or it will come through as an animated .gif with a .wav sound attachment. Tmo does this service for all picture capable phones that do not have inline video support.
