I double checked to make sure... and there was, in fact, a 2nd power inserter installed (I should've watched the guy while he was installing it, it was kind of hidden.
So to my surprise, a Bell Tech showed up at my house last night even though I plainly told the Call Center in India that I didn't want the tech to come to my house (in fact the rep even suggested that I get a third party tech to come out because they would be cheaper than Bell...)
I decided to let the guy have a look anyway, and fight the charge out with Customer Service or the Billing Department.
After looking at all the equipment (which look installed right) he climbed up to the dish to see if the adjustment went out (which it hadn't). A bit more testing revealed a bad LNB on the Dish. He replaced it, did a little re-alignment, and Voila - strong tranponder signals abound!
Even the tech himself agreed that Bell shouldn't be charging me to replace a bad LNB.
Now I get the joy of fighting the billing department.
Thanks Pinza and Tom, for trying to help me sort it out.
