Trouble connecting to gnutella network. Please help!?

I have used bearshare for years and never had a problem. Recently my computer got this huge virus from some internet site and I had to completely reset everything to nothing. I reinstalled bearshare 5.2.1 but it says that im not connected to the network? I went to the top where those 4 dots are and the last one says "no network". Why is this? Whenever i search something to it says queud. But my internet is working fine and stuff.
 
dear god , are you using the old bearshare from like years ago? That version comes bundled with spyware and also has not been updated for years and can be a security threat because it's old. Bearshare got sued so that's why they didn't update. I suggest you uninstall bearshare go
to www.frostwire.com and get frostwire it is spyware free and has great search results and fast speeds. Also go to www.filehippo.com and get a free anti spyware called malwarebytes, it will delete the garbage you got from bearshare.
