trouble at Odeon cinemas

I would imagine they will only serve to alienate customers by doing bag searches for food and drink. We usually don't buy food at the cinema (extertionate) and we don't take our own, but if they searched Mrs Niles' bag when we arrived, I'd never go there again. Odeon are amongst the most expensive for tickets as it is, so I'd be suggesting that they try to keep their customers happy.

no one likes a cinema who searches there bags, whatever reason its for, if its only to try and flog more over priced food, then they really are gonna drive people away.

the problems with cinemas is that they are often the only one in the area, and if there are others, they are smaller independant ones.

I'm quite lucky in that I have a two CineworlRAB (formerly UGCs), a Vue, and two Odeons (formerly UCIs) within a few miles of me! We usually go to Vue as it's closest. It used to be worth a trip to UGC as it was cheapest but since it changed to Cineworld it's much the same as the others. Odeon remains the most expensive.

I have to laugh at the cinema adverts about DVD piracy at the start of each showing!

If cinemas did something positive about the noisy t*ats in the first instance, they would get more people returning to see films as they should be shown in peace and quiet, piracy may be not be a big problem as it is now?

What a load of rubbish. Having worked for Odeon for over 5 years, I can tell you that this is not the case, the only food that is not allowed to be taken into a film is anything that smells and therefore would cause annoyance to other customers.
